Too young or too old for the insurer

Many insurers have special underwriting requirements for young drivers ( under 24 years old) and for older drivers ( over 70 years old). This may mean that an increased premium applies or that acceptance is not possible at all.

Many insurers are of the opinion that young or older drivers pose a greater risk. The chance of damage is greater, so they will charge a higher premium for this group.
